Travel Car Seats For Dogs

Ethical Question!!! If you love dogs I have the perfect question for you.?
So I’m headed up to the cottage in two weeks. I have a friend Emily who has never been out of the city. She is also terrified of nature but really wants to go still; this is my trip two so I’m bringing someone who I know is comfortable with nature so the trip won’t go a complete bust if Emily freaks out. Problem: I have a dog and there are only 5 seats in the car, they are all full. Suggestion: If I put her in her dog crate (made for this kind of traveling) in the back of the pick up that we have done before, would this be wrong?
It’s perfectly fine to put your dog in the back of a pickup IN A CRATE. You do need to make sure that your crate is secured and your dog is protected from the weather (if necessary).
You might want to ride him around on some short trips first to get used to it AND make sure you stop for stretching and potty breaks — you don’t say how long the trip is.
