percentile calculator babies
is my baby’s weight normal?
she is 7 months old she weights 22 lbs and is 27.5 inches long is this pretty normal the percentile calculator says she is above 95 percentile in weight does that mean she is overweight or just normal size and her height is 75 to 90 percentile.
and just out of curiosity what was your babies height and weight at this age
i think someone has there figures confused in one of their answers. being above the 95th percentile means that 5% of babies weigh the same or above the weight at the 95th percentile. i wouldnt worry about your baby so much now you would worry more if she was under weight. you will find that as she gets older her weight will even out as she goes through various growth spurts through the first year of there life and continue to do this. so long as she is healthy and thriving she is ok.
both my children were born at 10lb 12oz which is something like the 99th percentile im not sure what my daughter is now she is 5 months but she looks healthy enough my son however has evened out and is weighing on the average percentile around 2 stone just over n he is to now n he is full of beans.
when your daughter discovers crawling/walkin/running she will burn it of but dont forget to continue with the same feeds dont lessen them as she gets older and starts to move around as she will need all the nutrients and energy she can get being the busy body she will be but seriously dont worry about it your baby is fine.
