Why is my milk supply low after feeding?
I was having latch problems so I was feeding my newborn by strictly pumping (and supplementing with formula as needed). I finally got a good latch so I breastfed for 2 days (and continued to supplement with formula as my baby was still hungry). I tried to pump every 3 hours for the last 2 days and now my supply is very low. I used to be able to get 85ml and now I am only getting 30ml . Any idea why this happened and any suggestions on how I can get my supply back up?
pumping does not indicate how much milk you have- first off ditch thr formula and pumping- jsut let your baby nurse and soon your supply will catch up- nurse nurse nurse- the more formula you give the less milk you make- the more you nurse the more you make
