height weight calculator babies

How big is/was your 6 month old?

I am always the first to say that all babies are different and therefor witll be different sizes…I’m just kind of curious. My son just had his 6 month well visit. He is 20 lbs, 26.5 inches and his head circumferance is 17 inches. The doctor said he is between the 50 and 75th percentiles. I thought that seemed low, mostly for his weight. I came home and tried a million of the different only percentile calculators and charted it myself. I am coming up with 95th-90th for weight and 45-50th for height.
Do you think this influences their future height? I am 5’10″ and my husband is 5’11″. My brother was about this same size when he was 6 months and he is 6’1″, so I guess I am answering my own question.
Just curious as to how big everyone else’s babies were at 6 months.
As I mentioned I know that the growth chart is a guideline and am not looking for any ridicule!

My son is 6 months old, 26.5″ tall, and 15 pounds. Yup..he’s really really skinny. My older son is also really skinny. It’s just in our genes to be super skinny as kids (though I wish I were still skinny…but that’s a different story).

My older son was about the same height but he weighed about 17 pounds at 6 months.

The important thing is how they grow compared to themselves and not others (of course i’m always curious how other kids are doing too). If your son suddenly drops in percentile or suddenly shoots up in percentiles, then the doctor may be concerned.

Sounds like your son is doing really well. You’re much taller than average for a woman and your husband is also taller than average. I’d guess that your son will be quite tall as an adult. Likely 6’0″ or taller.
