Mommies of little girls: What do you do with their hair?
My 16 month old baby girl has finally started growing some hair. The problems is that I have no idea what to do with it. I had to cut some bangs in the front because it was down to her nose. Then she got a cold and her hair got stuck in her runny nose. Gross, I know. It seems like she’s always getting food in her hair and I’d really like a way to keep it back from her face.
The problem is that her hair is so fine that every kind of hair clip I’ve tried falls. On top of that, it seems like every hair accessory for little girls is age 3+ because of the choking issue. She also likes to grab and pull anything I put on her head. Is there anything I can use to keep her hair out of her face, and hopefully avoid always having to pick sticky food out of it? Any help is appreciated.
When my daughter was that young, I used the clear plastic bands for her hair, not the decorative ones. I would brush it up to a little pony tail on the top of her head. It kept the longest strands out of her face and food and was just really cute on her.
She’ll pull at everything for a while so keep an eye on her, but then she’ll get used to it and start leaving them alone.
