Can I lose the baby weight fast and still breastfeed my baby?
I will stop producing milk if I diet. Is that statement true?
I know breastfeeding helps lose weight. But I want to do both for both my sake and for my baby’s health.
I gained 30 pounds now and I’m 8 months pregnant
and I will be glad if someone can also tip me how people get their flat toned stomach after birth and get rid of all the flabby skin..
Definitely breast feed! This will help you lose the weight and will be great for both of you- it releases a hormone that actually shrinks your uterus back to normal. Exercise won’t affect your milk, just eat healthy and go slow.
As for exercise, don’t push yourself at first, just get in the routine. It’s good for you and baby. Do it at the same time every day- a lot of gyms have child care, so you can make that part of your day. Start off with yoga or walking. When you feel ready, add in classes, cardio and weight training.
I’d say give yourself a whole year, just saying to yourself, I’m going to exercise to feel good, but not to worry about my weight. Be easy on yourself.
I did this, and I feel so great. I slowly got my body back, enjoy my daily workout and break from parenting, and probably look better than I did before my baby!
