babies h1n1 virus

If your child had H1N1 would you warn people who were exposed?
Last Saturday (Halloween) we celebrated my daughters 2nd b-day.
My little nephew who is 6 months was there and I was holding him and playing with him A LOT. And he was also eating/drooling all over me and my daughters new toys. Nobody seemed sick so I wasnt worried.
Then, later that night my nephew fell very ill along with my mother in law who both live together. They next morning they both went to see a doc and were diagnosed with swine flu.
THEY NEVER TOLD ME. I found out last night almost a week later from my aunt. And they asked her not to tell anyone but she has a big mouth and blabbed to me.
There were tons of babies and PREGNANT women at that party. If you were my sister in law wouldn’t you have warned the people you loved who were definitely exposed.
Especially since I had my daughter vaccinated on Tuesday and one of the questions they asked before hand were “have you knowingly been exposed to the H1N1 virus?”
Was this unfair or am I just overreacting?
No you’re not overreacting…that’s pure carelessness and lack of respect for others!!! And any parent who knows their child is infected OWES other parents and children the respect of informing them so precautions can be taken. Now, if a child who attending the party fell ill and unbeknownst to the parents of the ill child it was H1N1 they died from it…..GOOD GOSH can the parents of the originally sick child live with that? People just don’t think anymore nor have concern for others. I’m really offended about this not only am I currently pregnant but it could be anyone’s kids that could have been exposed and also considering pregnant women and children are more at risk really shows the ignorance of some…but thank goodness everyone is ok.
