babies eyes focus
its been over 6m n my baby’s eyes r still not focus/center, how to fix it? when wil they usually look normal?
doct said she should see a special doctor for eyes training, coz when it’s over 12m, then it cannot be fixed.
please inform, when is regularly baby’s eyes are normal like us ?
my friend’s was 3 months old, most of the girls i knew were under 6m.
M planning to bring her to the doct next week.
okay here is what you need to do. i dont want to sound like i am controling what you do with your baby but i have experience in what you are going through. my oldest had the smae problem.when i noticed it she was 11 months old. it can be fixed after 12months. dont let your doctor tell you it cant unless he is an eye specialist. you need to take thaat baby to the eye doctor. most eye clinics have a doc there just for kids and infants. babies should have their first exam at 5 months. what this doctor will probably tell you is that your baby has a lazy eye and the focus problem is the brain shutting down the weaker eye. that is why they dont focus. this can be resolved. they will have you patch the stronger eye for a week at a time and you will alternate the patching. this happens normally for a month then another exam. if more patching is neededthey will let you know. then you willmost likely be told to try glasses after the age of two. the patching normally last that long. after glasses there may be a surgery. most of the time the patching works. but sometimes you need to do glasses and surgery. dont be afraid of any of this. it is hard but you will get through it.
