Is the 10th line in poem “Babies Don’t Keep” by Ruth Hulbert Hamilton “..pat-a-cake..” or “..lullabye loo..?”
I’ve researched this poem online and have come up with two versions. One has the tenth line as, “Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peek-a-boo.” and the other has it as, “Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peek-a-boo.” Does anyone have a published book of poetry by this author or know the definitive answer?
i believe its pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peek-a-boo.
