how long is the wait for housing authority?
Im pregnant w. my 1st baby due november 27th 2009 ; im 17 years old . && I currently live in a room w. my mom . I want to move as soon as possible because I know you can’t rise a baby in just a room its over crowded . I still go to school && im going to cont. going after my sons born . My boyfriend is 20 && he works . But we want to move in together . How long do you think they’ll make us wait for a 2 bedroom apt. We want to apply for queens new york in the FarRockaway area .

The last I heard NYC was no longer accepting applications for section 8 or low income housing until Jan. 1, 2010. The waiting list is currently 6 years long. Call them to double check.
