How can I politely say this to birthday party guests?
I am due to have my baby just 3 days before my daughter’s 4th birthday. We are planning on having her party the weekend after her bday to hopefully be on the safe side and my mom is coming to help out. My worry is that if I’ve had the baby by then that all the guests will pay more attention to the baby than the birthday girl and I want her to feel like it’s her special day. Is there a way that I could put in into the invitations or somehow let people know this politely? My family is notorious for playing pass the baby and getting all googly over them and I want the baby to recieve his due attention as well. I just don’t want my daughter to feel like her day is being overshadowed by the baby. I think it would set a bad tone from the beginning when I am trying to show her that there is still enough attention to go around for her. What do you think?
I would have her b-day party 2-3 wks early. Then on her b-day have a cake and stuff just for your immediate family. You may even be in labor the day the party is planned. THen she will really feel bad
