babies allergic to rice cereal

Did you put rice cereal in your babies bottle?
My son will be 6 weeks on monday and seems to spit up alot of his formula after eating and then will be hungry again about an hour later. My mom told me that I was the same way when i was about his age and she put a little rice cereal in my bottle and it helped me keep down the formula. Has anyone else tried this? I know some doctors say that it can increase his chances of havig allergies but my mom did it and im not allergic to anything. Normally I would stick to just giving him formula but he just seems so hungry after he eats and he eats 4 ounces every 3 hours. I’ve tried giving him a little more than 4 ounces which keeps him content for a little while but then he’ll either spit some up or be hungry again 2 hours later
Yes i know what increases his chances means! Don’t think im dumb just because im asking a question. I do cancer research for a living so i know exactly what “increases his chances” means
everyone will say not to do that but they cant tell you why!
Fact : my mother did it for all 5 of us(siblings) and we are all fine with out allergies to any foods
fact : my co worker did this with her daughter at 3 months old and shes a healthy 12 yr old and this is 1 generation later
fact: the AR formula has add rice starch to thicken formula for babys who spit up alot ,, so if they are adding the starch why is it back to just add it your self
I have been giving my son single grain cereal in his bottle since he was 5 weeks old..
he spits up less, gets full for a longer time and is not a gassy or colicy baby …
i premix the formula and add 1 or 2 teaspoons into a 6 ounce bottle ,
and he spoon eats it already
every baby is different you have to do whats best for you
as far as it being a choking hazard you have to make sure it comes out of the nipple you are using if you baby could choke it would get stuck there
